E-Bike Lovers has partnered with the Merkin Center for Peripheral Neuropathy and Nerve Regeneration at Johns Hopkins to launch a nationwide impact campaign focused on awareness, education, and fundraising for peripheral neuropathy, a condition affecting more than 30 million Americans.
At the heart of the initiative is a 5,800+ mile cross-country e-bike tour. E-Bike Lovers founder Dr. Gregory Maassen will depart from West Palm Beach and cycle over five months to Los Angeles, turning the journey into a rolling platform for advocacy and community engagement.
Throughout the tour, screenings of the documentary “Only Lazy Americans E-Bike” will be hosted for cycling groups, e-bike enthusiasts, patient communities, and medical faculties at leading universities in partnership. The film was produced in partnership with Docs in Progress.
Community Events
The tour's community events are designed to spark conversations around mobility, wellness, and the role of e-cycling in improving the quality of life for those living with neuropathy and other health conditions.
The tour also serves as a national fundraiser supporting the Merkin Center’s research and patient education programs, reinforcing the campaign’s dual focus on awareness and impact.
